There is a strong requirement for certificate based skill learning programs throughout the entire duration of the course. Hence, it is imperative that the students have an opportunity to learn curriculum relevant skills in each academic year. Some examples of such skill training programs include IV Cannulation, CPR, Urinary catheterisation, injections, Feeding tube insertion, Airway Management and birthing simulation.

Students learn in small teams of four or five persons, watch reference procedures, practice and delvier their procedure performance for faculty assessment.

Laerdal and Accreate Labs have contributed significantly to this effort in collaboration with host medical/nursing colleges. Each year more than a thousand such learners walk away with competencies, confidence and clinical effectiveness.
